The razor
Henckels has made blades in Solingen since 1731, and its Friodur razors are widely regarded as some of the finest stainless straight razors made. Friodur is Henckels’ ice-hardened stainless steel, stamped Inox, No Stain on the tang. It takes a fine edge and shrugs off the moisture that slowly spoils carbon steel.
That makes the 472 an ideal first straight razor, or a dependable everyday one: forgiving, easy to look after, and at 6/8″ a comfortable, versatile size. This one is in excellent condition, with the original twin-logo scales, a decorated spine and its original Zwillingswerk box.
